MAYA DRAWS ON HER TALENT AS A musician and performer to offer a unique style of yoga and meditation for modern living. Based on the style of yoga called Kundalini, which Yogi Bhajan first brought to the West in the 1960s, Maya’s classes are fun, uplifting, and above all inspirational. She runs regular yoga workshops and retreats at home and abroad.

Born and raised in Macedonia, Maya moved to England in the early 1990s to complete her training as a classical pianist. Her dazzling virtuosity soon led to engagements playing for audiences as diverse as the United Nations General Assembly and members of the Royal Family at private recitals. In 1995, she released her debut album Cross of Silence, which the British music magazine Q described as “The point where ambient, dance, world, and classical music all meet, at the crossroads of quiet dignity and power.” Maya’s most recent CD release, MayaSpace, is a fusion of yoga mantras with music of ethereal beauty. It features guest spots from friends and peers, including Deepak Chopra.

In addition to using her original music in all her classes, Maya composes and performs live in concert worldwide. She lives in London with her husband, record producer Magnus Fiennes, and their two daughters.
